A Mesmerizing trip to Salzburg & Innsbruck,
Austria - Day 3 at Innsbruck
From Salzburg, we started our 2 hour long train journey to Innsbruck. We had reserved beforehand at http://www.oebb.at/ and it costed us around €70 for a minimax ticket(A discount is given if two or more persons travel together entitling the first person to 50% off, 2nd person 60%, 3rd person 65% and so on). The train route is very scenic and after a short while you realize that you can never get enough snaps of the breathtaking views and resort to relaxing and enjoying the trip. I am sure a drive would be more enthralling giving one many opportunities to stop and click as desired.

Austria - Day 2 at Salzkammergut
Yayyy! Here comes, the most wonderful and memorable experience in Austria J If you are taking your car (you should, especially to Austria) or even if you don’t (like us & keep your fingers crossed about the next bus), a MUST visit is the salzkammergut area near Salzburg. Once you are there, you cannot help but fall in love with Nature - the lakes, the mountains, the lush green all over and the calmness.

Austria’s must see sites include Vienna, Salzburg & Innsbruck. Since we had been visiting cities for a while and had quite a heavy dose of museums, castles, cathedrals and the like, we wanted to make this trip more inclined towards nature and relaxation. And did it happen? Nature –YES!!! Relaxation – well, we had to compromise as we had to rely on public transport and wanted to see as much as possible. Nevertheless, not a single place on our itinerary disappointed us given the amount of time we spent in buses and trains.

Food on the go!
Food was never a problem when travelling in India. Mainly because we always get the kind of food our palates are used to. We would rather prefer to eat at a below-average hotel whining about the quality rather than pack food in India. Packing food for travel is nothing but a vague memory of childhood. It was not a 'cool' thing to do. :-)

Having understood the geography of the city and the efficiency of the metro service, i knew that the second day was not going to be adventurous. With a good night sleep, we woke up fresh and rejuvenated. Louvre museum was the first in the itinerary. We were already told that the museum is big enough to spend even 3 days and so we did not plan much on the second day.

It was one fine evening in Eindhoven, Netherlands when myself and my wife G were planning our first trip. As usual suggestions came from all ends and we decided upon Paris. With the time and budget constraint, we did not have many options to reach Paris and finally booked in Eurolines. And that was the first time, we were making international travel by bus. Although, the testimonials for Eurolines are not that encouraging, our expectations did not drop even a little. In the meanwhile, G did all her research about the city right from various attractions to public transportation to Indian hotels!!! We are all set and ready to go.
